What is ESI Registration?
Employee State Insurance (ESI) is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian workers. Managed by the ESIC, it provides medical, cash, and maternity benefits to employees. It is mandatory for any establishment employing 10 or more persons (20 in some states) earning a salary of up to ₹21,000 per month.
Medical Benefits

Sickness & Cash
Cash compensation at the rate of 70% of wages during periods of certified sickness for a maximum of 91 days.
Maternity Benefit
Maternity benefit for confinement/pregnancy is payable for 26 weeks, extendable by one month on medical advice.
